You are assuming people are too stupid to take care of themselves and need this advice. Please reconsider before making obvious suggestions that make assumptions about the targets intellect and ability to make their own decisions. Open discussions of health issues and understanding that one is not alone can be both encouraging and directly helpful in pursuing a better diagnostic outcome.
