Open Source Support – New?

Are people familiar with the original OpenLogic open source support model? I just learned about this the other day. As enterprises increasingly begin using open source, many still outright prohibit it, and require someone to call for support, is there an opportunity to launch open source support (with contributors as staff) anew? To offer best coverage of new technologies and solutions.
