I think it this is normal. I remember early on I would watch videos and shitty tutorials about servers and libraries, but slowly you begin to seek and trust the spec/standard. But only when you are more advanced you can do that. As a beginner you are not looking for the source of truth just yet. You are not ready to look into CPU registers and read the code. All you want is to discover what you don't know. Hence you look at videos and SO questions that have meta-data and advice attached to them, like "dont use goto/eval" etc.
