What Google had to do was to blindly copy Fakebook and use its search engine to market the hell out of it while there was still hope. In other words be ruthless. But that trait comes easier to MarkZ than the Google trio.
If you couldn’t, at least don’t use math guys to build a product for humans. You see Circles and collections and a plus one button may sound cute to HN audience but are far too complex ideas for an average user. The avg dude needs a textbox and a feed. Any value adding concept scrambles brains.
