VirtualBox bootable .iso would be nice. Especially since I thought of trying it out and followed Fuchsia instructions[0] only to run into exactly same problem

VirtualBox bootable .iso would be nice. Especially since I thought of trying it out and followed Fuchsia instructions[0] only to run into exactly same problem building it that others have reported >3 months back[1]. Also, instructions to download and install jiri with curl under Fuchsia docs don't work either[2] and curl returns '404 not found' instead. Got around this using instructions here [3] only to fail soon after as per above.
