Would the sole "solution" to that be recompiling the kernel yourself with that functionality enabled/coded in?
- kevin_thibedeau 8y agoWe have Android devices that can't be unlocked today. They can carry over the same mechanisms.
- bubblethink 8y agoThat is a different beast that even the linux kernel doesn't touch since the kernel is GPL v2. So even the exact same license as the kernel would not have changed the status quo; only something like GPL v3 would have, which obviously a company like google would not touch with a 10 foot pole.
