This is such a load of crap. Hey I get paid more, have a more obvious path to higher levels, I'm now actually above the people I used to work with, but it's not a promotion.
- aaronblohowiak 8y agoYou are not “engineering harder” or being an engineer++, you are doing _different work_ with a _new set of skills_. This is what is meant by the phrase. It is unlike the transition from eng to sr eng or even sr eng to team lead — not in degree, but in _kind_.
