This service seems uninteresting to ME for two reasons. Firstly, although I do own an iPhone, I use Windows on my other devices, including my Surface Book, where I'm more likely to do long form reading. So the lack of either a Windows or web app makes it DoA for me. The second issue is that, unfortunately for publishers, it's not obvious to me that this is a better value than content that's already freely available on the web. If more of the content I'm interested in were to disappear behind a paywall, then perhaps it would be a better value. I could see how this model is healthier for the industry as a whole, but, selfishly, as a consumer I don't see much value prop.
