Isn't type=number not at all suited for phone numbers? It might work for local numbers, but the common E.164 recommendation allows for a leading `+`. type=tel

Isn't type=number not at all suited for phone numbers? It might work for local numbers, but the common E.164 recommendation allows for a leading `+`.
type=tel [1] seems a lot more suited for this.
