If both mathjax and katex are open source, what is it that makes katex so much faster? Is there a hidden tradeoff?
- megalodon 8y agoJust because they are both open source does not mean they share a common goal or methodology. My guess is that KaTeX was written to overcome the deficiencies of mathjax.
- acqq 8y agoThis page tries to list the differences: http://utensil-site.github.io/available-in-katex/ http://utensil-site.github.io/available-in-katex/ It seems for many simpler use cases there's a reasonable chance that KaTeX can be enough.
