Because people got sick and tired of left wing extremism. People get called "nazis" without no reason just because different opinions. So there is time to right wing extremism because we are too stupid to find something in-between, we always have to go to the limit.
- krapp 8y agoI think that's partially, but not entirely true. People have become polarized and radicalized to the degree that the entirety of progressive and left wing ideology is seen as extremist, now. A swing of the political pendulum from left to right is inevitable and expected, but when it becomes impossible to view liberalism as anything but Marxism, feminism as anything but the systematic emasculation and hatred of men, and all attempts and social and racial equality as a war against white men, the reaction is going to be extreme regardless.
