- dkersten 8y agoAbsolutely! Chris even says in the book that while he perfected his art in hostage negotiations[1], they work just as well in business and in your personal life (and he even gave "negotiating your childs bedtime" as an example). I'm really enjoying the book, both in terms of what I'm learning and entertainment. I highly recommend it! [1] The unique thing about hostage negotiations is that you have to get what you want, or people may die, and you can't give anything meaningful in return. Most situations aren't quite that drastic, of course.
