Intel should release documenation/example code how you can program the GPU "bare-metal" (i.e. load a raw binary program directly on the GPU instead of providing, say, SPIR-V intermediate code to the driver).
- vetinari 8y agoRunning "bare metal" requires certain infrastructure (linkers, ABIs, etc). AMD has it in the form of HSA/ROCm; Intel does not, their drivers assume working with OpenCL/SPIR-V/GLSL.
