If all of western society downsizes its eco-footprint by massive media consumption and the state subsidizes this (panem at circensis) by lawlessness - im okay with it. But that hobby keeps a lot of people sitting in front of a glowing rock, like meditating monks, instead of buying useless tanksized cars and overdimensioned houses. Worth it.
