Also, newer automatic pay machines that take cash are 10x better than the single crease bill rejectors of yore. Amazon likely has no problems installing them, it just doesn't want to staff more cashiers than needed for ADA compliance.
- sascha_sl 8y agoI live in Germany where those machines don't really exist (and you have to exit any store going through a checkout line usually, even if most people that don't buy anything skip them) and was just baffled at how uncommon that seems to be elsewhere when I was in London. And yeah I got shouted at by a cashier over not using automated checkout.
