Ha. Don't come in Europe cities. There _are_ regulations in cities about that. And rightly so.

- friedman23 8y ago>Property rights are usually a literal appeal to authority (e.g. a community or a government). You are so hopped up on your ideology that you attributed some argument to my post that I wasn't even making. My post was criticizing the person for not even attempting to make an argument and instead devolving into just saying "you are wrong, I'm right". Anyway, I find it interesting how angry people get about people using their homes as an additional source of income. I guess people just need a scapegoat for every little thing wrong in their lives. Look at some of the horrible anecdotes in this thread, there is someone actually blaming an increase in crime in Miami on Airbnb.
- prklmn 8y agoYour mischaracterization of why people are getting angry is quite funny to me.
- friedman23 8y agolooking at the majority of posts it seems like people are angry about "noise"?
- dang 8y agoPlease don't post unsubstantive (or personally nasty) comments here.
- dang 8y agoCan you please not do flamewar (especially the ideological kind) or take personal swipes on HN? https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
- e1ven 8y agoAmerican cities have lots of regulations about this as well. AirBnB is making it easier for individual people to ignore these rules, and the to date enforcement hasn't been particularly strong.
