There is whole set of "with-x" macros that aren't about delayed evaluation.
- User23 8y agoWhat's the with-x macro that isn't providing dynamic extent, that is, delaying execution of some cleanup logic?
- bluefox 8y agoConsider for example CL:WITH-SLOTS, or CL-WHO:WITH-HTML-OUTPUT... such macros establish context, and are not really about delaying evaluation. On Lisp has a section about uses of macros, which is not exhaustive, but shows there's more to them than "delayed evaluation".
