Actually I don't know if it is just cheap cables, I am not sure if it is the male or the female part of the connection that is degrading. The next time I get into town I am going to purchase a "Premium" USB to micro cable and a new PSU and will see if that solves my issue. I am concerned that my past ebay and dollar store purchases may have corrupted my stock of cables with factory 2nds and rejects.
