Mcleod Ganj may not have the infrastructure that the rest of Himachal does, I don't know. In the last two weeks here the power cuts out roughly 3 times per day, anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours, which is apparently pretty good compared to winter when weather can take power out for 24+ hours. It's not even high season yet, I imagine it will only get worse with mass influx of people stressing the already shaky grid.
