Yeah, I think that was pretty key to getting them to buy into the idea: we weren't really getting rid of stuff, we were just decluttering. We even showed them how it was the same closet where we keep stuff of ours that we weren't currently using, and joined them in the process by moving some jigsaw puzzles and board games from the game shelf and putting them away as well.
