The wikipedia page on "message passing" is in total disconnect with existing practice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_passing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Message_passing):
"Synchronous message passing occurs between objects that are running at the same time. With asynchronous message passing it is possible for the receiving object to be busy or not running when the requesting object sends the message."
"Objects running at the same time"? Multithreaded? Multiprocessing? Distributed?
An instance does not "run". It is allocated in memory, and then you can invoke methods on it.
This entire "message passing" doctrine is nebulous nonsense.
