I suppose it boils down to need, I find that I can be just as happy with a standard height desk, and a $200~ range chair from amazon, as I was with the Aeron and fancy desk. At a price point difference of nearly $1700, I know that my spartan needs aren't perhaps typical, but I just find all the fancy trapping a waste, once I find a functional, durable, reliable, and replicable set up, I tend to stick with it. What works for me, cost about $400 every 3-5 years depending.
