And the military A400M -- 4 engine turbprop -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voK2o62KpqI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voK2o62KpqI -- quite amazing to see when you are used to those tiny regional turboprops.
- jacquesm 8y agoThat A380 take off is very impressive. Pity in 10 years time we will probably feel similar to it the way we feel about Concorde today. Thanks for posting.
- the_duke 8y agoYeah that take off roll is crazy short for such a huge aircraft. Impressive performance with the plane empty and probably only an hour or two of fuel.
- JauntyHatAngle 8y agoIgnorant here, why will we feel about A380s the same way as the Concorde? What is happening to it?
- obtino 8y agoAirbus have scrapped it.

- stephen_g 8y agoNot quite - they're still manufacturing A380s until 2021. Those will probably still be flying for at least 15 years. It won't be a distant memory like the Concorde for 25-30 years.
- adwww 8y agoI was driving past on the motorway and remember nearly crashing in shock at the aggresive maneuvering of something so big - first time seeing either an airliner do a display, or the A380.
