I just want this kind of thing to finally hit consumer devices. I've been reading about this stuff for years now, and it's really great stuff, but it's all limited to the people who get to be in these studies.

- DennisAleynikov 8y agoIt's an iPhone accessory, not really a consumer product. It can't be used outside of the apple ecosystem without involving an iphone in the process and that stops it from being a widely adopted wearable product. Apple's marketshare is dropping with every yeah and they sell only roughly double the previous smartwatch incumbent, samsung despite apple having a generally more affluent userbase. I hope this tech reaches more people with less restrictive hardware options.
