The powers that be are itching for an excuse to just start blanket banning speech they don't like. So many people who claimed to be so against censorship when China did it are now coming around to their way of doing things. I think we owe China an apology for criticizing their censorship policies, when we ourselves are now just re-implementing their great firewall for ourselves. Their justification is identical; they wanted to protect the people from "dangerous misinformation" (fake news). I have seen so many people in the last few years say that they're be happy to throw out all of our hard won freedoms because they are afraid of some 4chan trolls. I'm sorry that you are so fearful and easily manipulated. I'm sorry for you that you support pernicious censorship policies so that you don't have to think about what really goes on in your country.
