Activists successfully shut down the Child Youth and Family Gender Identity Clinic (GIC), in Toronto run by Dr. Kenneth Zucker, formerly one of the leading researchers on trans health, who led the team that wrote the DSM-5 criteria for gender dysphoria. These activists claimed that his clinic was using "conversion therapy". Instead of following the gender affirmative approach, this clinic instead had child patients work through their dysphoria with therapy and explore their gender with play.
