I don't want to be too specific, as I'd rather keep this anonymous. But I happened to find myself with some rare and highly valuable skills, and I took on a lot of new responsibilities. I'm now in technical management. I don't think my success is necessarily repeatable, I just happened to see some opportunities and seize them. I've been fortunate.
