Agree with this 100%. The other day I was reading Joel’s Law of Leaky Abstraction https://www.joelonsoftware.com/2002/11/11/the-law-of-leaky-abstractions/ https://www.joelonsoftware.com/2002/11/11/the-law-of-leaky-a... and newer languages are mostly abstractions over closer to metal abstractions.
