Quick question. Is 22/7 an approximate value of pie? What is the correct formula and why?
- pmiller2 8y ago22/7 is an approximation for pi. I prefer to use 355/113, which has an error of about 2.7x10^-7. The reason these are good approximations is that they’re convergents for the continued fraction for pi.
