I’ve worked at 2 companies with monoliths that had great products and tremendous business success. And 3 companies with micro service infrastructures that had lousy products and little business success. Can’t totally blame microservices but I recall a distinctly slower and more complicated dev cycle. These were mostly newer companies where micro services make even less sense and improving product and gaining users is king.
