I used to work for a big tech company and the vast majority of people there signed all email by default and encrypted them when the content was sensitive. Part of onboarding was a training session on how all this works.
Now I work for a non-tech startup and there are exactly two of us who sign our email. Happens to be another engineer I need to occasionally exchange encrypted messages with.
As a positive, at least no one seems confused by my signed messages.
