- _bxg1 8y agoBut it can be forked. Which means I can go start a Chrome competitor by myself, today, with zero up-front investment.
- zepto 8y agoGood luck with making meaningful changes with zero investment.
- incompatible 8y agoAt best, you could probably maintain a patch that changes some of the more Google-oriented behaviour of Chrome. A full-blown fork would never keep up with new development in Google or Firefox.
- anth_anm 8y agoI worked for a team that did maintain a fork. It was an insane amount of effort just to keep up with the commits going in.
