  No, because humans are capable of reciprocating moral obligations. Veganism is really difficult to avoid if you're a utilitarian, and really easy to avoid if you're not.

  This is same question many of my veggie friends ask. I think no, it is not the same for humans. For other carnivores, it does not make any difference.
