The changes to the MOT test last year should result in that being a major failure:
Your vehicle will get a major fault if the MOT tester:
* can see smoke of any colour coming from the exhaust
* finds evidence that the DPF has been tampered with
- headmelted 8y agoI saw this, but I was disheartened when I was told by a mechanic not long back that this too is seen as a bit of a joke - in that the cars are tested at idle and the DPF check is cosmetic. Hoping for sanity, though.
