It's a ripoff because the price to quality ratio of the luxury brands are much higher than the budget brands which provide the same functionality and style as the luxury brands the only difference being there is no logo stamped on the side. EDIT: regarding the top comment of this thread, I see and agree with the argument that if you are aware and able to get a cheaper option, then you are not being "ripped off" but just making a bad financial decision of your own accord.
