When I got my 2015 Windows laptop, sleep mode and wifi worked much better on Linux than Windows, where they were basically broken. It seems simply incorrect to say these things are broken in any real general way in Linux. It just depends.
- sametmax 8y agoIt's crazy how consistently I, and thousand of people launchpad.net, have been all unlucky for so long. We really should start to take this karma thing seriously, because I keep getting answer like yours saying I'm just not seen things properly. So I surely must be wrong.
- addicted 8y agoIt’s not that you’re wrong. And it’s almost certain Linux has additional issues with IO stuff due to manufacturers not prioritizing Linux drivers. However, Windows and OSX have their fair share of problems as well. One of the differences is that in the Linux world folks largely try and find fixes the, selves, so they have more postings on the internet, whereas in the OSX/Windows world the discussion basically ends at “wait for an update”.
