Let's just say due to bad luck or a twist of fate - I didn't know he was Colonel's son! I mean nothing post discharge sounds like it was too associated with your role as pilot - the benefits are available to any veteran. But it does seem like you live life with a healthy amount of initiative and I wonder if you think about starting life with less role-responsibility or have ever compared peer outcomes in this way?
