Wow, loud autoplay ads, ask for notification permissions, and a huge banner ad blocking most of the page. Closed as soon as I figured out where the sound was coming from. No more zdnet links pls.
Anyone want to post a tldr or a better link?

- wesleytodd 8y agoWonderful, thanks!! Edit: is there info on who runs this? I would love to know more about this site but it doesn't have info links or anything that I could easily find.
- cronix 8y agoI didn't even notice that lol. I'm so used to just hitting the "reader view" in firefox immediately after hitting a site to remove all of that stuff so all I see is the article.
- wesleytodd 8y agoThis is the sad state of most content sites. I usually am fine with it as well, but not when I get loud ads where I cannot tell what it is coming from. That is the straw that breaks the camel's back for me.

- wesleytodd 8y agoYeah this is a great writeup. Very detailed and probably a much better link for the OP.
