Socialist governments always have an elite tier which lives differently from the plebiscite, so if you're going to be in that elite group you have no problem with socialism. This is why tech billionaires are into it. Anyone who lived in Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, Venezuela, Poland, or socialist Nazi Germany would not have the "stars in their eyes" views that young Americans have today about socialism.
