Ask HN: Do you run multiple Kubernetes clusters?

I’ve seen companies using multiple K8s clusters to segregate environments like dev/prod, domains, areas within an organization, etc I’m thinking how bad a pattern that could be, you would get the operations overhead of the control plane multiple times, for a system that was designed support huge workloads in a well segregated manner (security, availability, etc) What are yours toughs on that?
