I also have the same question about how to improve my technical skills. I don't think it is related to full stack or not. I found that most of the companies require developers with mid-level skills only. I don't have enough chance to improve because there are no difficult problems in my job. I would say if you think you are not good enough, simply move to companies which give chances to solve difficult problems.
