I work for a billion-dollar-company, in the semiconductor industry and yet we use a 1986 asset tracking software we access through telnet and despite the 7M USD effort in three year for the development of newer software we ended up reverting to the old software. Non to mention we still use Lotus Notes for email and windows NT on some production machines. The same machines that validates a good 30percent of electrical components on electric devices and cars...
