I used to work for a large oil company. Their IT guys were pretty adamant about security. Right before I left the company, they purchased another smaller distributor. All their guys had ipad minis and same thing, were last patched in 2016. The IT guys right away were telling the execs, "Yeah, they're all getting Win10 laptops, fully patched and locked down to use only our software. No way we're going to keep using these."
