Who's protesting? Microsoft's employee's. Why are they protesting? Because the company mission statement has changed, and they are being drug into a morass of political entanglements they want nothing to do with. What is their self-interest? They do not want to be involved on US Military projects, nor do they want to create the weapons systems of tomorrow. That's someone elses job. I guess their self-interest here must just be "something" to fight for. Being dismissive is not the correct response to what they are doing.
