What about this tactic: find out what percentage they get if they sell the account to a collector. Offer a bit more than that.
- citilife 8y agoFunny story, our billing service was also collections. Meaning, the doctor / hospital earned X% of what ever we got, regardless of if you were in collections or not. So, we had no incentive to really negotiate in that regard. Arguably a significant percentage of healthcare companies have their billing setup in such a way. Or they handle it entirely in house.
