I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, C++ has created generations of Visual Studio GUI addicts. Imagine how much further software would have advanced by now if the average person (a Windows user on a crappy laptop) had good, free tools to make web and mobile applications. Two things VS and C++ are just really bad for, if you inhabit reality. And all those stubborn people who are going to reply insisting otherwise, how much better would the world be without them? Just kidding guys, hang in there. On the other hand, less competition! Long live C++!
