Thanks so much for the kind words! I'll try hard to find the balance in the future before new, old and stable... Nobody wants a bloated Redis I bet! Since I believe that many members of the Redis community have a similar aesthetic mindset about software.
- zymhan 8y agoApart from Redis, I just wanted to say thank you for starting dump1090. The community that has grown around it is massive, and it has given me a new hobby and interest. It is a great demonstration of the power of open source software and FLOSS culture as a whole. Not to mention there are now businesses built on the data provided by this free software, being run by volunteers (like I).
- stevekemp 8y agoIf you had the patience and available location you could publish an address sometime in one of your blog-posts. I bet you'd receive a hell of a lot of postcards of thanks from around the world. Things like that feel more "real" than emails and words on forums.
- antirez 8y agoThanks Steve :-) I think I'll save this wonderful idea for some day when I'll feel an especial need for something like that.
- leesalminen 8y agoI’d probably sent him some of our company swag. It’s not expensive stuff but I love getting swag from my customers. @antirez do you have dogs? I’ve got some branded leashes with your name on em!
- antirez 8y agoNo dogs just children :-D Thanks for your kind offer!
- zerr 8y agoAny plans for more videos about system programming?
- antirez 8y agoYes a lot more plans but so far I failed to deliver every time, because of lack of time. I need to refocus!
