I was literally about to make the same comment. It's guilt by association. Researching these topics does not mean you are a Nazi. In this case, Facebook did nothing wrong. One can have an interest in history without being a Nazi. One can have a history in Nazis without being one. This is unbelievably poor reporting, the headline does not reflect the actual content and the wrong conclusions are drawn. LA Times, in particular Sam Dean, should be ashamed.
