It's idealistic at best. Many people say this, until you see the money come in, and are pressured to make more. You just can't grow into such a monstrosity without stepping on morals along the way. For a social network to even work, it needs to be gigantic, or why would anyone use it?
- chabes 8y agoI think a lot of the public is getting fed up with morals being stepped on. The demand for a not-immoral social network is huge. Btw, smaller social networks are great. Early days of reddit were amazing, and it didn’t get better when it became mainstream
- overcast 8y agoI think the general public hasn't got a clue, or doesn't care if they do. We're vocal here, because we understand what is going on. Smaller social networks are great, for niche areas. Facebook is a glorified address book, which you need EVERYONE in to be effective.
