This is a factual account of a single woman changing her mind about holy orders, approximately 700 years ago. I can't imagine why you'd read it as an attack on religion. I mean, I'm Christian and I'm saying this. If your idea of religious tolerance is that no one should ever repeat anything negative associated with any church, you maybe need to give that some serious thought.
